- Follow Hwy 1 past Charlottetown to Hwy 2 (head west toward Summerside and Tignish).
- From the Bridge (NB to Borden-Carleton, PEI) follow Hwy 1A past Summerside to Hwy 2 (head west towards Tignish). Stay on Hwy 2.
- Once you pass Summerside, it is a 30 minute drive until you turn left (should see Tim Hortons) on to Route 142 that goes through O’Leary.
- At the end of this road, you should see directly in front of you the Northumberland strait.
- Turn left unto route 14, you drive approximately 5 minutes (5 or 6 kilometers) until you get to a gradual curve going left. On this curve you will see the lighthouse road entry on the right.
- Take another right in front of the Provincial Cedar Dunes Park Campground and you are there.
- If you have missed this first turn and take the second right off of route 14 (at cenotaph), you will be at the West Point Harbour. Just take the road to the right in front of the West Point Harbourside centre and go straight to the end.
